Fountayne Editions was created with a specific philosophy, namely, that there are many works which, for a variety of reasons, have unjustly fallen out of the repertoire. Fountayne Editions rediscovers these works and publishes them in scholarly editions from manuscript and early printed sources. The intention is to wear this scholarship lightly, however, so that although there are exhaustive critical commentaries, the text itself is clean and uncluttered.
If you’re having trouble obtaining editions of interesting repertoire, we may well be able to help and we are always on the look-out for good and slightly unusual repertoire for which there is no edition or only poor ones. Our only limitation: we cannot generate editions of works which are still under copyright.
