Very famous in the 19th Century for his operas in English, the Irish singer and composer of “The Bohemian Girl”, “The Maid of Artois” and the incredibly popular Vict orian parlour song “Come into the Garden Maud” also wrote two beautiful chamber works, the Piano Trio and the Sonata for Cello and Piano.
